Boston forward Marat Khusnutdinov has expressed his gratitude to defenseman Nikita Zadorov for helping him adjust to life with the team.
Acquired by the Bruins from Minnesota in a trade back in March 2025, Khusnutdinov noted that Zadorov moved quickly to make him feel at home. The two players have become close, with Khusnutdinov regularly joining Zadorov and his wife Sofia for meals, including celebrations for Halloween and Thanksgiving this season.
“He’s a really good teammate, a great friend. I have to say it again: thank you, Zaddy. I know the season can be tough, it’s long and you’re away from family. Inviting a couple of guys over for dinner once a week — I think that really helps,” Khusnutdinov said in an interview.
