Renowned American tennis coach Rick Mackie has shared his thoughts on the upcoming Roland Garros tournament, declaring that no one can challenge Italian star Jannik Sinner for the title.
“Beating Sinner at the French Open is impossible unless he gets injured or falls ill. With three out of five sets, he mentally tightens the screws on you so much that you don’t even have time to think twice. His game patterns and split-second reactions on clay make the ball bounce unpredictably, giving him extra time to execute precise shots. On clay, opponents don’t get many free points on serve and face even greater mental pressure. The ‘Flamethrower’ — Sinner’s nickname — will be the last man standing in France, enjoying yet another Grand Slam triumph,” Mackie wrote on his social media.
Roland Garros will take place from May 24 to June 7.
