LeBron James has yet to decide his future in the NBA. Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ elimination by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference semifinals on Monday night, the basketball superstar avoided committing to his plans for next season.
“Obviously, I don’t know what the future holds for me. Right now, I have plenty of time to think. Like I said last year after the loss to Minnesota, I’ll go back, reassess with my family, discuss it, and spend time with them. When the time comes, you’ll know what I decide to do,” LeBron said.

Despite not ending his 23rd season with the franchise the way he wanted, the forward doesn’t believe he underperformed in the past year.
“I don’t consider my year a disappointment. I’m completely sure of that,” he added.
At 41 years old, LeBron has kept his career plans under wraps. His contract with the Lakers runs only through June and is not expected to be renewed, sparking speculation about a potential retirement. If he chooses to continue playing, he will likely need to find a new team.
