Liang En-shuo from Chinese Taipei captured the women’s singles championship at the 2026 Jiangxi (Jiujiang) Open on May 10, marking her first career WTA 125 singles title. In the final held in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, she faced Chinese player You Xiaodi and staged a remarkable comeback after losing the first set.
The match lasted 2 hours and 31 minutes. Liang dropped the opening set 3–6 but quickly adjusted her tactics, enhancing her return aggression and varying baseline rhythm to take the second set 6–4. In the decisive set, she dominated with a 6–1 victory, sealing the match 2–1. Statistics showed Liang outperformed her opponent in second-serve points won, break-point conversion, and return performance, highlighting her resilience and on-court adaptability.
” I’m very happy to win my first WTA singles title in Jiujiang. I hope to keep improving and look forward to returning here for future competitions,” Liang said in a post-match interview.
The 2026 Jiangxi Open marked the first simultaneous staging of an ATP men’s professional tennis challenger event and a WTA women’s professional tennis series, attracting nearly 130 professional players from over 20 countries and regions. Earlier, Hong Kong’s Wong Chun-hun claimed the men’s singles title.
