The upcoming Brasileirão clash between Fluminense and São Paulo, scheduled for this Saturday (16) as part of the 16th round, has been rescheduled. The match will now kick off at 7 PM (Brasília time), one and a half hours earlier than initially planned.
This direct duel at the top of the table sees Fluminense currently sitting in third place with 27 points, while São Paulo trails closely in fourth with 24 points. A simple victory for the São Paulo side would be enough to leapfrog their Rio de Janeiro rivals in the standings.
Before facing each other, both teams have Copa do Brasil commitments. Fluminense will host Operário at the Maracanã on Tuesday (12) at 9:30 PM, needing just a win to advance. São Paulo, meanwhile, travels to Alfredo Jaconi on Wednesday (13) at 7 PM, where a draw will secure their progression.
On the injury front, São Paulo received positive updates. Midfielder Pablo Maia, who underwent surgery on April 10 to correct nasal and facial fractures, participated in full team training after recent individual conditioning work. Right-back Lucas Ramon (left calf strain) and center-back Rafael Toloi (similar discomfort) continued field exercises under physiotherapy supervision, while Alan Franco also ran on the grass with the medical staff.
